Hetko Reader specifics
Your books, reading positions, highlights, notes, collections and statistics are stored locally. We cannot see your library, and there is no account to create.
The free version shows ads, which involve an advertising identifier and coarse technical data handled by Google's ad services. Buying Pro removes ads and the requests that serve them. OPDS catalogue connections go directly from your device to the catalogue you chose; we are not in the middle.
Full Hetko Reader policy →Who is responsible
Algorion OÜ (trading as Hetko), Tartu mnt 67/1-13b, 10115 Tallinn, Estonia, is the data controller for the apps and watch faces listed on this site, and for this website. Contact: hi@hetko.eu.
What we collect
As little as the product allows. Depending on the product this can include: crash and diagnostic reports, an advertising identifier where ads are shown, purchase state from the app store, and anything you choose to put in a support message.
On this website we use Google Analytics, which sets cookies and records which pages are opened, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device and browser you use. We use it to see which pages are worth writing, never to identify you. The apps and watch faces themselves contain no website analytics.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not build advertising profiles of our own.
Why we process it
To make the product work and to fix it when it breaks (legitimate interest), to complete purchases and honour refunds (contract), to show ads in free versions and to answer support mail you send us (consent, withdrawable at any time).
Processors we use
Google (Play distribution, billing, crash reporting, advertising services and Google Analytics on this website), Apple (App Store distribution and billing), Valve (Steam distribution), and our mail provider for support correspondence. Each acts under its own terms and may process data outside the EEA under standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Crash reports for up to 90 days. Support correspondence for up to 24 months. Purchase records for as long as accounting law requires.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Mail us and we will answer within one month. You may also complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon).
Children
Our products are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data; if you believe we have, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will note it here with a new date, and in the app release notes where the change affects an app.
